Isochirotherium gardettensis / ref. Erythrosuchus

Petti et al. (2020) described a new ichnospecies from the Early Triassic of the Western Alps. The tracks are interpreted as produced by an erythrosuchid or some other large archosauriform. Ichnological evidences indicate that an erect-limb locomotion already evolved in the Early Triassic, maybe even in these animals. More studies are underway to better constrain the identity of the trackmaker.
