Primitivus manduriensis

The first reconstruction of Primitivus, a marine lizard related to snakes and mosasaurs. It lived in the shallow waters of what is now Italy 70 million years ago. The specimen is not only articulated, but also retains fossilized remnants of the scales, muscles and gut contents.
