Alierasaurus, a permian giant (DIMA project)

Alierasaurus, the first pelycosaur ever discovered in Italy and the largest known in the world. I collaborated with DIMA Dinomakers to bring this animal back to life: I handled the digital sculpting and animated videos, now displayed at full 1:1 scale at the Museo Archeologico di Alghero (the city closest to the discovery site).

I was lucky enough to join the field expeditions that recovered its fossils, so being able to contribute to the first 3D and animated reconstruction feels like a small dream come true, from bones in the field to their first public museum exhibition
